BACKGROUND ON PRESENTATIONS
The Global Financial Stability Report assesses key vulnerabilities in the global financial system. The report seeks to play a role in preventing crises by highlighting policies that may mitigate systemic risks, thereby contributing to global financial stability and the sustained economic growth of the IMF’s member countries. With interest rates now expected to be lower for longer than anticipated only a few quarters ago, the report focuses on corporate sector vulnerabilities, challenges faced by institutional investors, and implications for emerging markets. It also looks at USD funding fragilities and at the growing world of sustainable finance.
