Application Criteria

Basic Criteria

1. Nationality is not Chinese;

2. Obtained a Bachelor’s degree, or is about to obtain the Bachelor’s degree before 31 August, 2025;

3. Preferably major in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Law and etc;

4. Proof of English language proficiency.


Eligibility

Foreign citizens who do not hold Chinese passports must demonstrate to be good natured individuals who have the necessary degrees and language capabilities. In principle the applicant must not be more than 35 years old of age, and must hold a degree that is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited Chinese university. According to Section 5 of the Citizenship and Immigration Laws set forth by The Chinese People Republic of China, the individual in consideration cannot have Chinese citizenship if this person has a non-Chinese passport, has both parents who are Chinese foreign residents, or has one parents who is a Chinese foreign resident.

Applicants who were born in China or residents of Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan citizenship or those who possess foreign citizenship due to immigration must demonstrate to been in possession of their foreign citizenship for a minimum time of at least four years.

For applicants who fall under either of the two categories mentioned above, please provide documents and relevant material that support your foreign nationality claim.

1.Applicants who have either one or both parents possess Chinese citizenship but are long-term/permanent residents in another country were already in possession of foreign citizenship by the time of birth, and cannot possess Chinese citizenship. This type of applicant should provide the following documents:

a. past ID information of both parents during the applicant’s time of birth in photocopy form

b. current ID information of both parents in photocopy form

c. residency documents of one or both parents at the time of the applicant’s birth

d. the applicant’s birth certificate that proves non-Chinese nationality or acquisition of foreign citizenship


2.Applicants who have either one or both parents possess Chinese citizenship but are long-term/permanent residents in China were already in possession of foreign citizenship by the time of birth. This type of applicant should provide the following documents:

a. past ID information of both parents during the applicant’s time of birth in photocopy form

b. current ID information of both parents in photocopy form

c. Documents certifying the applicant forfeited Chinese citizenship for at least 4 (four) years

d. applicant’s birth certificate that proves non-Chinese nationality or acquisition of foreign citizenship


3.Applicants who were previously Chinese nationals but have acquired citizenship from another country need to provide:

a. Documents certifying that the applicant has successfully acquired foreign citizenship

b. Documents certifying the applicant forfeited Chinese citizenship for at least 4 (four) years

c. Deactivation of Chinese citizenship that was previously in possession


4.Applicants who do not fall under any of the categories above do not have to provide documents certifying their nationality status.
