Paticipating Experts:
Evgeny Styrin is a leading research analyst and an associate professor affiliated with the National Research University Higher School of Economics. Mr. Styrin provides expertise to Russian public administration bodies. He is an advisor to the Russian Open Government Council. His fields of expertise are public services performance management, open government, electronic government, interagency information sharing, open data, and public IT strategy development and evaluation. Mr. Styrin develops and conducts training courses, teaching students and civil servants in the area of e-government, open data, strategic IT planning, and civil service. As a Russian e-government expert Dr. Styrin participates in international research projects with the World Bank, UNDP, and OECD.
Liang MA is Professor at the School of Public Administration and Policy and Research Fellow at the National Academy for Development and Strategy, Renmin University of China (RUC), China. Before joining RUC he was Research Fellow (2012-2015) and Senior Research Fellow (2015-2016) at the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received his BA, MS, and PhD in Public Administration from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. His research interests include public organizational innovation, government performance management, and digital government. His research has appeared in Governance, Public Management Review, Public Administration, and many other journals in English and Chinese.
Erdem Yörük is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Koç University and an Associate Member in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at University of Oxford. He is the principal investigator of the ERC-funded project “Emerging Welfare” (The New Politics of Welfare: Towards an “Emerging Markets” Welfare State Regime) (emw.ku.edu.tr). He is also a member of Young Academy of Europe and an associate editor of European Review. He holds a PhD from the Department of Sociology at Johns Hopkins University (2012), an MA in Sociology and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University. His work focuses on social welfare and social policy, social movements, political sociology, and comparative and historical sociology. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Ford Foundation, European Commission Marie Curie CIG, European Research Council, European Commision Twinning Action Grants(socialcomquant.ku.edu.tr), and the Science Academy of Turkey BAGEP. His articles have appeared in World Development, Governance, Politics& Society, New Left Review, Current Sociology, South Atlantic Quarterly, International Journal of Communication, Social Policy and Administration, Social Indicators Research, among others.
