On the morning of Oct 18, School of Global Governance at Renmin University of China (RUC) was officially founded. Chen Jian, former Vice Secretary General of the United Nations and Liu Wei, President of RUC attended the open ceremony.

Liu pointed out that with the rapid development of Chinese economy, China should persist win-win strategy to enhance its influence among international organizations. In response to China’s developing strategies, School of Global Governance will integrate class learning with social practice to cultivate elites with sound global vision, intercultural communication skills and knowledge of diplomacy.
