Prof. Gang Jianhua clarifying the standard of thesis writing

Later on, Prof. Gang used a sample to illustrate the style, construction and specific requirements of thesis writing. Prof. Gang firstly explained the importance of format and put forward the seven main parts for thesis writing: introduction, literature review, stylized facts, data set, research methodology, empirical study and conclusion. Prof. Gang then stressed that “The first four parts shouldn’t be a pile of research results, you need to give a clear and systematic introduction about your research subject and the significance of your research”. As for the empirical study, Prof. Gang pointed out that it was crucial, which should contain three parts: how to construct models, how to compare models and the value of this comparison.
