On Feb 24, the managing team from the School of Finance, Renmin University of China (SFRUC) visited the school’s international students who stayed on campus during the winter break, including three students from the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) Program. This is part of the school’s unremitting efforts in the prevention work of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic.

Prof.Zhuang Yumin, dean of SFRUC and Prof. Sun Hualing, general secretary of SFRUC asked about each student’s health status and daily life on campus and then distributed masks and other daily necessities for them. The international students said the visit of the professors from SFRUC encouraged the students and gave them more confidence to combat the (COVID-19) epidemic along with the school.
“I want to thank the School of Finance and International Student Office for providing us daily necessities and medical supplies to guarantee our safety during this epidemic crisis. This is just one of those hard times that scary everyone, but I believe China will definitely overcome it.” said Gilson Tavares, current student of the 2018 MSF Program.
The university has adopted a series of prudent steps and strict measures in the utmost efforts of combating the (COVID-19) epidemic, including stricter entry and exit campus policies, daily body temperature reporting through newly developed online systems, deferring the opening of spring semester, encouraging more online teaching and others.
