Q: What is the registration procedure for 2020 international students?
A:
All the 2020 international students should log in to International Student Online Registration System and fill out the information. Please check your email frequently, follow the notice board of the International Students Office (ISO) website (http://iso.ruc.edu.cn/) and ISO official WeChat account. We will put up the latest information of the online registration through those channels.
The international students who want to defer the study until fall semester 2021 should also do the online registration first, and wait for the notice from ISO to keep the admission status within required time.
Q:How to register if I am currently in China?
A:
After you finish the online registration, you should come to Renmin University of China to register on site at designated time.
September 18, 2020: undergraduates and master degree students
October 9, 2020: Ph.D. students
On registration day, student should apply for the Residence Permit, pay the tuition and purchase the comprehensive insurance, etc.
The comprehensive insurance can be purchased through lxbx.net before you come for on-site registration. You only need to show us the insurance payment page when register with us. All the students must purchase the one-year insurance (recommended option: CNY800/year ).
Registration Date and Time: September 18th (Friday), 2020; 09:00-12:00;13:30-17:00
Registration Venue: Room 108, International Cultural Exchange Center, No.59 Zhongguancun Street, Haidian District, Beijing
The required documents will be needed on registration day:
1. Passport;
2. JW201/202 visa form (if you have the form, please bring it with you; if not, you can get the form on registration day from ISO);
3. Original admission notice or the copies;
4. Temporary Accommodation Registration Card;
5. Please show the green code of Health Kit (No abnormal conditions) when you enter the campus gate;
6. Please show the certificate of a negative result of nucleic acid test when you enter the campus gate;
7. Physical Examination Report (A piece of A4 blue paper with your I.D. picture on it). Please see detailed information attached;
8. Four 2-inch ID pictures with white background;
9. Chinese government scholarship students should bring “Bank of China“card, and the bank note (a piece of blue paper) which was issued by the opening bank;
10. Cash and Chinese Bank card will be needed for tuition, insurance and visa payment. Make sure you bring enough cash with you before you enter the campus.
If you can register with us on time, please send an email titled “Registration on campus + your name” with the content of “name, student ID, nationality and estimated time to arrive at campus (e.g. 14:30 )” to iso@ruc.edu.cn before 17:00 September 13th, 2020.
Q: I am currently in China, but I cannot register on time. How can I complete the registration?
A:
1.Complete the online registration within required time from September 10th to September 12th , 2020.
2. If you cannot register on time due to personal reason, please send an email titled “Late arrival application + your name” with the content of “name, student ID, nationality, estimated date and time to arrive at campus (e.g. September 20th, 14:30 ) , and reason for late arrival” to iso@ruc.edu.cn before 17:00 September 10th, 2020.
3. If you failed to apply for the late arrival and did not register with us within required time, your admission will automatically be canceled.
Q: How to reserve the dorm on campus?
A:
If you can register with us on time, please download the Dorm Reservation Information Sheet in Download Section of ISO website(http://iso.ruc.edu.cn/), and use the student ID number to reserve the dorm according to the guide on the sheet. There is no need for Chinese government scholarship students to reserve the dorms. If you cannot register with us on time, please do not book the dorm.
Q:How do I register if I am currently outside of China?
A:
1. Complete the online registration within required time from September 10th to September 12th, 2020.
2. You should then ask for absence with your school and start the online courses.
3. About visa: Please keep up with the latest information from your local Chinese Embassy and Consulate. If you can apply for the student visa to come to China, please take a screenshot of the notice from the website of Chinese Embassy and Consulate, and send an email to iso@ruc.edu.cn with your personal information including your name, students ID number, nationality and mailing address. ISO will provide assistance to the students to apply for the visa.
4. About online courses: After your finish the online registration, please contact your school for more information regarding the form for teaching, arrangement and course selection. You can consult the school secretary/program coordinators/class advisors.
5. About housing:After you get the student visa, please send your basic information including your name, student ID number, nationality and confirmed date of entering China to International Housing Department (LGIA@ruc.edu.cn). The International Housing Department will contact you to reserve the room. If you have any questions on housing, please contact +86-10-62511395.
6. About tuition: you can download the Application Form for Late Tuition Payment for International Students from ISO website (http://iso.ruc.edu.cn/). Please fill up the form and send it to the school secretaries/program coordinators/class advisors. The tuition should be paid after your arrival on campus.
Q:What else should I know if I am a Chinese government scholarship student?
A:
1. Complete the online registration within required time from September 10th to September 12th, 2020.
2. The Chinese government scholarship students locate in China should arrive at campus for onsite registration on September 18th, 2020. You don’t need to purchase the insurance or reserve the dorm. Please bring your Bank of China card, and the bank note (a piece of blue paper) which was issued by the bank.
3. The Chinese government scholarship students locate outside of China should keep in touch with the schools and start the online class. You can get your monthly stipend after you arrive on campus and finish the qualification check.
