I am Zar Chi Oo from Myanmar. I am currently enrolled in Master of Science in Financial Techonology (MSFT) at the School of Finance, Renmin University of China. I completed a bachelor’s degree in Commerce in my home country. I serve as a civil servant in Ministry of Planning and Finance Myanmar.

In recent years, the growth of financial technology (FinTech) has transformed the financial sector and opened up new avenues for innovation and growth. My interest in FinTech began when I saw how technology has transformed the financial sector in my home country. As a developing country, Myanmar has limited access to traditional banking services, especially in rural areas. However, the rise of mobile banking and e-wallets has enabled millions of people to access financial services and participate in the economy. Seeing this transformation firsthand inspired me to learn more about the potential of technology in finance.

As a civil servant in the financial sector, I have always been fascinated by the ever-evolving world of finance and Technology. To further my Knowledge and skills in this field, I decided to pursue a Master of Financial and Techonology. One of the main reasons I chose to pursue this program in China is the country's leading position in the global FinTech industry. China has become a major player in FinTech, with some of the world's most innovative and successful FinTech companies, and its government has made significant investments in the development of digital finance infrastructure.

Studying financial technology at Renmin University of China has given me valuable insights into the latest trends and best practices in the field. I have learned about financial theory and policy, corporate finance, financial market analysis, block chain technology, and big data, which will equip me with the technical skills needed to develop innovative solutions in finance. The faculty in the FinTech program are also outstanding. They are experts in their fields and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the classroom. I am gaining a global perspective on the potential of FinTech to drive economic growth and financial inclusion, and I excited to bring this knowledge back to Myanmar.
